What could be more magical than a Hollywood Christmas?

Now, for the month of December, Kerri must leave behind her life as a teacher in Brooklyn to return to sunny Hollywood and work with the man she used to love.

Jon and Kerri just want to finish the film and get this awkward reunion over with. But Amari Rivers, the star of their movie, thinks they're engaged and wants them on set for moral support and love advice. Wanting to keep the star happy, Kerri and Jon pretend to love each other, bringing back all the old feelings they've been trying so hard to forget. Could this be the Christmas they finally get their own happy ending?

This fun and festive holiday romantic comedy is perfect for readers of Jenny Bayliss, Maggie Knox, and Codi Hall.

Fire and Ice was the last script Kerri Williams wrote with her writing partner Jon Romano. Now, three years later, Kerri is back in Los Angeles, and back working with Jon, when celebrity Amari Rivers decides she wants to star in the picture. The Giglios successfully mine their own real-life experiences as screenwriters for this enchanting holiday rom-com tailormade for movie mavens.

Kerri Williams and Jon Romano broke up professionally and personally after failing to make it as a screenwriting duo and as a couple. Several years later, Kerri must put her East Coast teaching career, her new fianc, and her Christmas traditions on hold after an old rom-com script she and Jon penned together is suddenly greenlit for immediate production in Los Angeles. Kerri finds that Jon is still pining for her after all these years, and to make matters worse, their pilot's tempestuous star Amari is convinced that Kerri and Jon are a perfect engaged couple who must stay on set to inspire her. Acting like the perfect couple Amari believes them to be leads to Kerri and Jon realizing that maybe they have been right for each other all this time. VERDICT This soapy rom-com from married screenwriting couple Juliet and Keith Giglio (The Summer of Christmas) may appeal to library patrons looking for read-alikes for Jenny Bayliss or Sophie Cousens.--Elizabeth Gabriel
